El personal médico y docente de carrera será de dedicación exclusiva o parcial. El de dedicación exclusiva es el que ejerce funciones médicas y docentes o investigativas al servicio exclusivo de la institución y para el cual rige incompatibilidad con toda actividad profesional o docente por fuera de ella. Pertenecerán al personal médico y docente de carrera de dedicación parcial las personas que presten sus servicios a la institución durante un número determinado de horas a la semana.
