Art. 6. º El que se use para vender y comprar pesas distintas de las que se expresan en esta Ley, o use estas alteradas, incurrirá en una multa de uno á cincuenta pesos oro, que se hará efectiva administrativamente, y su valor ingresará al Tesoro municipal. La cuantía de la multa será doble en caso de reincidencia.

Por este artículo no se prohíbe los cómputos ó cálculos en pesas y medidas extranjeras para la venta por mayor de efectos introducidos al territorio nacional.
