Definición. Se entiende por plan de atención complementaria en salud el conjunto de actividades, procedimientos, intervenciones y guías de atención integral, no contemplados dentro del plan obligatorio en salud, ofrecidos bajo la modalidad de un prepago, y cuya finalidad básica es ofrecer al afiliado al Sistema de Seguridad Social en Salud, condiciones alternativas de comodidad, tecnología y hotelería.
