Por propia iniciativa, o a solicitud del respectivo Notario o Alcalde, el Gobierno autorizará a los Corregidores o a los Inspectores de Policía para llevar el registro civil de las, personas en los Corregimientos o caseríos que disten dos o más miriámetros de la cabecera del Municipio. La misma autorización podrá darla el Gobierno a los Corregidores o Inspectores de Policía de lugares que disten menos de dos miriámetros de la cabecera del Municipio, cuando circunstancias especiales indiquen la conveniencia de hacerlo. En este caso se oirá previamente el concepto del Alcalde.
