OBJETIVOS. Colcultura tiene como objetivos:

1. Actuar como ente rector del sector institucional de la cultura, ejecutando las políticas trazadas por el Gobierno en coordinación con las entidades de los órdenes departamental y municipal.

2. Fomentar y difundir los procesos, valores manifestaciones culturales colombianos respetando la diversidad de sus expresiones.

3. Proteger, difundir y conservar el patrimonio arqueológico, histórico, artístico y cultural de la Nación

4. Promover la participación de toda la población en la vida cultural de la Nación y el acceso de los ciudadanos a los bienes, servicios y valores de la cultura en igualdad de oportunidades.
