No podrá ser nombrado nuevamente en un cargo en el exterior la persona que no hubiera prestado sus servicios en la planta interna del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores durante un período continuo, no inferior a la mitad del tiempo en que se hubiere desempeñado en el exterior. Exceptúase de esta disposición el nombramiento de Embajadores.
