Cuando no existan planchas del Instituto Geográfico Agustín Codazzi, el interesado podrá utilizar fotografías aéreas con nomenclatura, escala y orientación certificadas por el mismo Instituto, las cuales se tomarán como base para elaborar el plano de la solicitud. En caso de no existir los documentos anteriores, los enlaces entre los puntos arcifinios y los puntos extremos o de partida del polígono se harán mediante una poligonal cerrada levantada a tránsito o con cualquier otro aparato topográfico de precisión. Las carteras de campo deberán acompañarse a la solicitud.
