La superficie superior del botadero debe conformarse con una pendiente suave que, por una parte asegure que no va a ser erosionada y que por otra parte permita el drenaje de las aguas, reduciendo con ello la infiltración del material depositado en el botadero. El material procedente del descapote que no se emplee en el recubrimiento de bermas deberá aprovecharse para cubrir la superficie superior del botadero. Si la cantidad de material no es suficiente para cubrir la totalidad del área, se debe avanzar cubriendo desde el borde del talud hacia adelante, hasta donde alcance el material orgánico disponible. El resto de la superficie puede dejarse sin vegetación. CAPITULO II Silos y tolvas.
