Especialistas del Primer Grupo . Son especialistas del Primer Grupo los profesionales con titulo de formación universitaria conforme a las normas de educación superior vigentes en todo tiempo, y que ostenten las respectivas licencias sobre ejercicio de la profesión. Los Especialistas del Primer Grupo tienen las siguientes categorías, en orden descendente

Especialista Asesor Primero;

Especialista Asesor Segundo;

Especialista Jefe. Los Especialistas del Primer Grupo tienen categoría de Oficial para los fines contemplados en el Código de Justicia Penal Militar y para efectos protocolarios.
