El capital de la empresa Siderúrgica Nacional de Paz de Río, conforme al artículo 3º de la Ley 45 de 1947 , será de cien millones de pesos ($100.000.000) y podrá aumentarse de acuerdo con sus estatutos. El Gobierno Nacional y el Instituto de Fomento Industrial podrán suscribir acciones por un valor que en conjunto no sea inferior al cincuenta y uno por ciento (51%) del capital. El Gobierno Nacional y el Instituto de Fomento Industrial suscribirán la totalidad del capital si los particulares no suscribieren y pagaren, en el plazo que exigen los estatutos, al menos un veinte por ciento (20%) del mismo.
