Cuando la sentencia sea de aquellas que pueden ejecutarse en Colombia, se le da cumplimiento si reúne las condiciones siguientes:

Que se haya dictado a consecuencia del ejercicio de una acción personal.

Que no afecte la jurisdicción nacional, ni por otro concepto sea contraria al orden público o a las buenas costumbres.

Que la sentencia se haya dictado y esté ejecutoriada conforme a la legislación del país de su origen, y se demuestre su autenticidad conforme al artículo 657.
