Para desempeñar el cargo de Visitadora Jefe o Visitadora Jefe de Zona en la Campaña de inmunización contra la tos ferina y la difteria, se requiere .ser Enfermera graduada en la Escuela Nacional Superior de Enfermeras. Y para desempeñar el cargo de Visitadora Ayudante se requiere haber obtenido el título de Visitadora de Higiene Pública, expedido por el Ministerio de Higiene.
