Igualmente podrá el Banco otorgar, con los recursos que contrate especialmente para tal fin, préstamos de amortización gradual a mediano o largo plazo, dando especial preferencia a aquellos destinados a fundar industrias encaminadas a producir bienes para la exportación o para la sustitución de importaciones esenciales. Las utilidades que por estos empréstitos obtenga el Banco de la República ingresarán al Fondo de Promoción de Exportaciones.
