Corresponde al Fiscal General de la Nación, a los Directores de Fiscalías, a los Fiscales a quienes se les asigne la función de Jefes o Coordinadores de Unidad y demás Fiscales Delegados, dirigir y coordinar las investigaciones adelantadas por el Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación de la Fiscalía General, por otros cuerpos de Policía Judicial, establecidos por la Constitución o las leyes y por aquellos facultados temporalmente para el ejercicio de estas funciones.
