Corresponde al Fiscal General de la Nación crear, suprimir, fusionar y modificar en su número y localización las Unidades Nacionales de Fiscalías; las Direcciones Seccionales de Fiscalías y sus Unidades adscritas; las Direcciones Seccionales del Cuerpo Técnico de Investigación y sus Unidades adscritas y las Direcciones Seccionales Administrativas y Financieras, de acuerdo con las necesidades del servicio y con sujeción a lo señalado en el inciso segundo artículo 30 de la Ley 270 de 1996.
