La Industria Militar es una Empresa Industrial y Comercial del Estado, con personería jurídica, autonomía administrativa y capital independiente, vinculada al Ministerio de Defensa Nacional, que se reorganiza conforme a las disposiciones establecidas por los Decretos 1050 y 3130 de 1968, 2346 de 1971 y 2069 de 1984, y a las contempladas en los presentes estatutos.
