Articulo 1° La Empresa se denominará "Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones". Fue creada como entidad de carácter administrativo por Decreto número 1684 de 23 de mayo de 1947 y reformada por Decreto numero 1233 de 13 de abril de 1950, tiene personería jurídica y patrimonio propios y se administrará en la forma que establecen los Estatutos.
