A partir de la vigencia de la presente Ley el Sistema Nacional de Ciencia y Tecnología, al que se refiere el Decreto 585 de 1991, se denominará Sistema Nacional de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación -SNCTI- con el fin de integrar las actividades científicas, tecnológicas y de innovación bajo un marco donde empresas, Estado y academia interactúen en función de los fines de la presente ley.
