En caso de incumplimiento deberán imponerse amonestaciones o multas sucesivas mientras subsista la irregularidad. Las multas serán impuestas mediante providencia motivada y su valor será recaudado por el ICFES con destino a los programas de fomento de la investigación científica. Si dentro del año siguiente a la visita en la cual se establezca la irregularidad la institución no ha cumplido los requisitos exigidos, la Junta Directiva del ICFES aplicará la sanción de cancelación del Programa que se comunicará al Ministerio de Justicia y a los Tribunales Superiores del Distrito Judicial, para los efectos legales pertinentes.
