El Director General de la Policía Nacional fijará la fecha para realizar el Congreso Nacional de Policía Cívica, en la ciudad que para el efecto se haya escogido como sede. Este evento será programado y coordinado por el Comandante de Departamento de Policía o Policía Metropolitana y por la Policía Cívica del respectivo departamento.
