La Asamblea Nacional Constituyente asume las atribuciones conferidas al Senado de la República por el Artículo 125 de la Constitución Nacional, y en consecuencia,

declara:

1° Que el 13 de junio del presente año quedó vacante el cargo de Presidente de la República; y,

2° Que es legítimo el título del actual Presidente de la República, Teniente General Gustavo Rojas Pinilla, quien ejercerá el cargo por el resto del período presidencial en curso.
