Ley 34 de 1887 · Por la cual se establecen los derechos de Registro de instrumentos públicos y privados

Los registradores de instrumentos públicos llevarán, además de los libros prescritos en el Artículo 2641 del Código Civil, uno titulado "Libro de Registro de instrumentos privados" para la inscripción de todos los documentos de esta clase que los interesados quieran revestir de la formalidad del registro con el fin de darles mayor autenticidad y obtener la prelación que las leyes confieren a los documentos privados que tengan aquella formalidad.

El registro de los documentos privados se hará insertando estos íntegramente en las diligencias de inscripción, las cuales firmaran los interesados y el Registrador.
