El gobierno y la administración del distrito están a cargo de:
El Concejo Distrital.
El Alcalde Distrital.
Los Alcaldes y las Juntas Administradoras Locales.
Las entidades que el Concejo, a iniciativa del Alcalde Distrital, cree y organice.
Son organismos de control y vigilancia la Personería Distrital y la Contraloría Distrital.
