De la Acreditación de las Instituciones Especializadas. Las Instituciones Especializadas que pretendan certificar la aptitud psicofísica para la tenencia y el porte de armas de fuego, deberán obtener Reconocimiento como Organismos Certificadores de Personas ante el Sistema Nacional de Normalización, Certificación y Metrología, para cada sede en la que pretenda operar, ya sea una única sede, o diferentes sedes de una sociedad o persona jurídica.

Las Instituciones Especializadas que hayan obtenido la acreditación bajo la norma ISO/IEC 17024:2003 de acuerdo con el presente Capítulo, deberán someterse al menos a una (1) auditoría anual completa de seguimiento por parte de la Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio.
