º. Las viudas, los descendientes legítimos y los hijos naturales de los antiguos militares fallecidos antes o después de la sanción de la Ley 7ª de 1938 e inscritos en el Escalafón de Antiguos Militares, tendrán derecho a percibir la recompensa correspondiente a éstos, mediante la tramitación establecida en el Decreto 856 de 1948.

Parágrafo

El pago a los beneficiarios de los veteranos fallecidos con anterioridad a la sanción de la Ley 7ª de 1938, se hará con cargo al fondo especial creado en el artículo 2º de la misma Ley.
