Si el juez que conoce de un proceso tiene noticias de que en otro despacho cursa otro proceso de aquellos que deben acumularse, pedirá informe al despacho respectivo y éste deberá contestar dentro de los tres (3) días siguientes a aquél en que recibió la petición. Dicho informe contendrá todos los datos necesarios para establecer la pertinencia de la acumulación.
