Dirección General de Transporte Aéreo. Serán funciones de la Dirección General de Transporte Aéreo las siguientes

1.

Formular las políticas, planes y programas en materia aeronáutica y aeroportuaria del país.

2.

Coordinar con la Aerocivil las actividades necesarias para conformar, mantener, administrar y vigilar la infraestructura aeroportuaria.

3.

Velar por el desarrollo ordenado y seguro de la infraestructura aeroportuaria.

4.

Propiciar la participación privada en el desarrollo y operación de la infraestructura aeroportuaria.

5.

Velar por el mantenimiento actualizado del inventario de la infraestructura aeroportuaria, en coordinación con las entidades territoriales.

6.

Colaborar con las instancias pertinentes en el proceso de descentralización aeroportuaria.

7.

Las demás que les sean asignadas y que correspondan a la naturaleza de la dependencia.
