Art. 2º. Para la concesión de recompensas por servicios a la causa de la Independencia no es necesario que el militar haya servido los tres años de que trata el artículo 299 de la Ley 153 de 1887 ; en consecuencia, las viudas y huérfanos de dichos militares tendrán derecho a la respectiva recompensa según el último grado que obtuvieron sus causantes.
