Sin perjuicio de lo establecido en el artículo 28 de la Ley 16 de 1990, el Fondo Agropecuario de Garantías, FAG, podrá respaldar el valor redescontado de los créditos agropecuarios presentados ante el Fondo para el Financiamiento del Sector Agropecuario, Finagro, que hayan sido otorgados a los productores distintos de los pequeños, que no puedan ofrecer las garantías normalmente requeridas por los intermediarios financieros.
