La cancelación definitiva de su registro profesional consiste en la prohibición del ejercicio de la gerontología por término indefinido. La providencia sancionatoria se dará a conocer a los entes competentes de emitir sanción, a las asociaciones de gerontología del país y a los programas de gerontología. Copia de esta suspensión pasará a la hoja de vida del profesional.
