Decreto 2180 de 1992 · por medio del cual se introducen algunas modificaciones y adiciones al Estatuto Orgánico del Sistema Financiero.

º Adiciónase el artículo 1.8.3.0.1 del Estatuto Orgánico del Sistema Financiero con el siguiente

Parágrafo

Para efectos del restablecimiento patrimonial de una entidad financiera inscrita, el Fondo de Garantías de Instituciones Financieras podrá realizar una o varias de las siguientes operaciones

Suscribir las ampliaciones de capital derivadas de órdenes de capitalización impartidas por la Superintendencia Bancaria; o

Otorgar capital garantía con carácter temporal, cuyo caso podrá promover la participación de nuevos inversionistas en el capital de la entidad a efectos de sustituir el citado apoyo".
