Artículo sexto. El funcionario o agente a quien corresponda resolver una petición, deberá hacerlo en términos definidos, es decir, concediendo o negando lo que se pide, si tal es su sentido, o absolviendo la consulta propuesta, si ello es lo procedente.

Parágrafo

Si la petición no fuere de la incumbencia directa del funcionario o agente a quien va dirigida, este deberá enviarla, en el término de ocho días contados a partir de su recibo, al agente o funcionario que sea competente, informando de ello al interesado.
