La Nación rinde honores a la memoria del Conquistador Juan de Ampudia, con motivo de cumplirse en el mes de abril de 1986, 450 años de la fundación de la ciudad de Jamundí (Villa de Ampudia), primera población establecida por los españoles en el occidente colombiano y declara como día fausto para la Patria este acontecimiento.
