Art. 1.° La República de Colombia lamenta la muerte del ilustre poeta y buen patriota Gregorio Gutiérrez González, y dispone que su retrato, costeado con los fondos nacionales, sea colocado en el Salón de Grados de la Universidad de Antioquia con esta inscripción:

"GREGORIO GUTIÉRREZ GONZÁLEZ

LEY 91 1886."
