A la Oficina de Estudios Actuariales le corresponde las siguientes funciones

Asesorar al Superintendente Bancario en todo lo relacionado con la aplicación de las ciencias actuariales;

Realizar estudios y trabajos actuariales para las dependencias que lo requieran;

Revisar los cálculos actuariales efectuados por las compañías de seguros y reaseguros, para la constitución de sus reservas técnicas y matemáticas; y,

Resolver consultas sobre asuntos actuariales que le presenten las instituciones vigiladas.
