A partir del 1º de enero de 1936 los Municipios que tengan mas de quince mil (15.000) habitantes tienen la obligación de sostener oficinas de estadística que obrarán bajo la dirección o control de la respectiva oficina departamental.

Los Municipios que tengan menos de quince mil (15.000) habitantes, tienen la obligación de sostener por lo menos un oficial de estadística que obrará también bajo la dirección y control de la oficina departamental.
