Los Oficiales y Suboficiales de la Policía Nacional que sean pasados a la situación de retiro temporal o absoluto y tengan derecho a asignación de retiro, indemnización o pensión, continuarán dados de alta en la respectiva Contaduría por tres (3) meses a partir de la fecha en que se cause la novedad de retiro y recibirán durante este tiempo los haberes de actividad. Para efectos de prestaciones sociales, el lapso de los tres (3) meses de calificación de servicios, se considera como de servicio activo.
