Art. 1. o Se consideran objetos necesarios para el servicio de un distrito parroquial, i son del cargo del vecindario, los siguientes: nueve fanegadas, por lo menos, de terreno para el área de la poblacion; una casa para cárcel con departamentos separados para hombres i mujeres; las piezas indispensables para el despacho del cabildo, del alcalde i de los jueces; i un local a propósito para escuela de primeras letras.
