Vigilancia y control. La vigilancia y el control del ejercicio de la profesión de químico farmacéutico le corresponde al Estado, y estará a cargo del Colegio Nacional de Químicos Farmacéuticos. El Colegio Nacional de Químicos Farmacéuticos, creado por el artículo 7° de la Ley 212 de 1995, es un organismo consultivo del Gobierno nacional en materia de la competencia de los químicos-farmacéuticos.
