El artículo 42 de la Ley 1 de 1959 quedará así: "La Junta Monetaria evitará bruscas fluctuaciones en la cotización de las monedas extranjeras mediante la operación de un Fondo de Regulación Cambiaria, el cual estará formado por una parte adecuada de las Reservas del Banco de la República y los recursos extraordinarios en moneda extranjera obtenidos o que se obtengan para tal fin. Corresponde a la Junta Monetaria fijar el monto del Fondo e introducir en él las variaciones que aconseje las circunstancias"

Parágrafo

Derógase el artículo 43 de la Ley 1 de 1959.
