La visa de residente tendrá vigencia indefinida y permite múltiples entradas. No obstante caducará si el extranjero se ausenta del país por más de dos (2) años continuos. Podrá ser expedida por la División de Visas o por los funcionarios consulares de la República con autorización de ésta. El titular de visa de residente deberá renovar su registro ante el Departamento Administrativo de Seguridad (DAS) cada cinco (5) años.
