Art. 8.° Para las elecciones de Representantes, cada Departamento se dividirá en tantos Distritos electorales como corresponda para que cada uno elija un Representante principal y dos suplentes por cada cincuenta mil habitantes.

Cada Distrito electoral se formará de Distritos municipales continuos, de fácil comunicación con la cabecera del Distrito electoral, cuyas poblaciones reunidas formen un total aproximado de cincuenta mil habitantes, por lo menos.

El Distrito municipal cuya población exceda de cincuenta mil habitantes, formará un solo Distrito electoral, pero elegirá el número de Representantes que corresponda a su población.
