Declárase de utilidad pública la construcción del ferrocarril que partiendo del puerto de Barrancabermeja, sobre el río Magdalena, pase por el punto de El Tablazo , con el río Sogamoso, y paralelo a este río hasta encontrar con el Suárez, siga por las márgenes de este a dar a la ciudad de Chiquinquirá; así como el ramal de que esta línea férrea se desprenda del punto de El Tablazo, ya enunciado, y vaya a la ciudad de Bucaramanga.
