° El Artículo 98 de la Constitución Nacional quedará así:

Son atribuciones del Senado:

Admitir o no las renuncias que presente el Presidente de la República o el Designado;

Aprobar o improbar los ascensos militares que confiera el Gobierno desde Oficiales Generales y Oficiales de insignia de las Fuerzas Militares, hasta el más alto grado;

Conceder licencia al Presidente de la República para separarse temporalmente, no siendo caso de enfermedad, y decidir las excusas del Designado para ejercer la Presidencia de la República;

Permitir el tránsito de tropas extranjeras por territorio de la República;

Nombrar las comisiones demarcadoras de que trata el Artículo 5º;

Autorizar al Gobierno para declarar la guerra a otra Nación.
