Las libretas de servicio en que conste que los soldados prestaron su servicio en la frontera Sur, durante el conflicto con el Perú, servirán para que éstos sean preferidos, en igualdad de condiciones, para el enganche en obras públicas o en la provisión de otros empleos públicos. También les servirá preferentemente para el caso de distribución de baldíos o de tierras que el Estado resuelva repartir para el fomento de la pequeña propiedad.
