Las bibliotecas privadas que presten servicios al público según reglamentación del Gobierno Nacional, podrán tener acceso a los apoyos que el Estado otorgue para la organización, conservación o catalogación según reglamentación del Gobierno Nacional.

Las bibliotecas privadas declaradas como Bienes de Interés Cultural, tendrán acceso a los incentivos de la Ley 1185 de 2008 .
