El artículo 60 del Decreto 1151 de 1989, quedará así: “Artículo 60. Términos para adelantar la investigación. El término para adelantar la investigación será máximo de veinticinco (25) días que empezarán a contarse a partir de la fecha en que se avoque la investigación. El término anterior podrá prorrogarse, por una sola vez, a solicitud del funcionario, cuando las características especiales del hecho así lo aconsejen. Los términos anteriores se duplicarán cuando sean tres (3) o más los investigados o tres (3) o más las presuntas faltas que se investigan”.
