Funciones del Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible. El Ministerio de Ambiente y Desarrollo Sostenible en el marco de sus competencias y como ente rector del SINA le corresponde:

Definir las prioridades de información del SIRH;

Aprobar los procedimientos para el desarrollo y operación del SIRH que incluirán, al menos, las variables, metodologías, protocolos, indicadores y responsables, los cuales serán desarrollados y propuestos por el Ideam o el Invemar, según el caso;

Definir las demás orientaciones e instrumentos que sean necesarios para la adecuada implementación del SIRH.
