Como demostración del agradecimiento nacional se erigirá á la memoria del eminente ciudadano un monumento de mármol en la ciudad de Cartagena y una estatua de bronce en la capital de la República, en el lugar que designe el Jefe del Gobierno. Ambos monumentos llevaran la siguiente inscripción:

A RAFAEL NUÑEZ,

la patria agradecida.
