- EXPROPIACION DE PREDIOS URBANOS. Son motivos de utilidad pública o interés social para decretar la expropiación de predios urbanos, fuera de los determinados en las leyes vigentes, las obras de ornato, embellecimiento, seguridad, saneamiento, construcción, reconstrucción o modernización de barrios, apertura o ampliación de calles, edificaciones para mercados, plazas, parques y jardines públicos (Decr. 1333 de 1986, art. 44).
